Response to daycare might mares “Providers note”
I’m a daycare provider of 4 years and I love it. I know it shows from my daycare children to their parents. I get a lot of calls, and interviews from parents who are unhappy with their current situation. Some do come for interview some call for questions but go no further than a call. But what I don’t get is why do parents keep their child in a place their unhappy with. When I did a follow up call the parents still had their child in the same place they were unhappy with. The reason it’s Convenient,
I JUST DO NOT GET IT. You were unhappy with the daycare so why do you stay there?
Is it because it’s cheap or convenient for you? You pay for what you get.
I have had Parents say I loved your place it’s one of the best I’ve seem. But when I do a follow up call back most parent say it’s out of their way. So why do you come and waist my time with my daycare children. If before hand you know were the home was located?
I did give you the address. Did you not check before hand my address on the internet to see how far it was in distance and time wise? I consider each and every moment precious with my children and my time. I limit interviews so I can give my children my time. But I do have to fill spots once in a while and need to interview for the position once in a while.
Now for the person that visited 40 daycares I’m sorry you must be very picky. I know great daycare out their. And I can say I’m one of them. I really do not know what’s wrong that you only found 1 daycare but your still unsatisfied about there time off. If I was you I would have done more research. If daycares are not working with you maybe you need to stay home with your child. I think that would be they only way you would be happy. Or maybe why don’t you open up our own home as a license daycare. What way you’re not in this situation. But I do agree with you about some of the daycare setting. I have had many people call and visit with me due to they where unhappy with their current place. I wish that all providers take the job seriously. I know my path to work with children at a very young age and I’m very glad I was gifted with this line of work. But it is a lot of work 10 hours a day just taking care of children also preparing each day in the morning and cleaning up in the evening. Accounting, paper work, meeting, posting advertising. This is a busy business if you’re a professional. Plus I too have a family, dogs and a household to run as well. OH I manage it all and I love it.
FOR PROVDERS
For the providers who do not take is seriously as a provider you are not only hurting the children but their parent and good providers who do care about are profession and if you’re not happy find a new career. Stop putting daycare providers down.

AND PLEASE BE PROFESIONAL
AS A PARENT
Speak your mind. If your not happy with what you see tell them it could only help them.
Also please respect daycare provider’s rules, handbooks, and contracts. We have a right just like you do. This is our profession and we have rights, rules and if you choose to place your child in a daycare PLEASE RESECT THEM.
IF you do not like a daycare providers rules, prices and so on go elsewhere.
